Still on the Obama watch

The mass media can contribute a lot to the socialization of black men and women when it comes to how they portray the Obama's. A lot of white America has a bad picture in their minds of black people here. What they see on TV is black people selling drugs, killing each other, and basically being ignorant. But that's not what the black community is all about. With the Obamas the media has the power to paint a different picture of what we really are. There are many families out there like the Obamas that have high values on education, family, and things of that nature. So as america see's that in the Obama's maybe there opinion about the black culture could start to change and the fact that we are different could be a easier pill to swallow.
